It's always sad to see the end of an era, especially one as long lasting as Wednesday's at the Green Dolphin Street, but as one page closes another opens. In a moment of incredible timing, Big City Swing was approached by a local bar owner to collaborate on a Wednesday night swing dance. So to fill the loss recently felt by Chicago's Swing community, we are excited and proud to announce "Swing Set" at Pasha!

EVERY Wednesday come join BCS and Chicago lindy hoppers for dancing and drinks at Pasha, a beautiful bar designed specifically to accommodate dancers. With a gorgeous wood floor, stage, Dj rig and drink specials, Swing Set at Pasha is the perfect addition to our Lindy Hop community!

Opening Night: Wednesday, December 2nd
How often: EVERY Wednesday!
Beginning Lesson: 8:00 - 8:45 pm
DJ'd dancing: 8:45 - 11:30 pm
Where: Pasha, 802 W Randolph St. Chicago, IL 60607 (Just 3 blocks east of Big City)
Parking: Free and metered parking along Halsted and Randolph.
Music: Swinging Jazz perfect for East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston and Balboa.
Price: $8 for Lesson and Dancing and $6 for Dancing Only

Starting tonight (11/2) Its Grad Night upstairs for new graduates of BIg City Swing's Swing I class. Join us in welcoming them into the scene with our Grad Jam. The evening will start late tonight at 9:30 instead of our usual 9pm. The Jam is set to start around 11pm!

The second Monday, November 9th, features the start of our weekly FREE hour long Beginner Lesson! The lesson will start promptly at 8pm and finish right before our weekly dance at 9pm. Swing dance veterans and instructors Lia Jordano and Dana Cygan-Nehs will be teaching!

November 23rd is Our NINTH annual Food Themed Night. Lippy and the other Fizz DJs will be playing songs that feature eating and drinking - food and drink! All night long!

Finally on November 30th, yet ANOTHER Grad Night! A one, a two, a you know what to do...Come out and dance and celebrate with us at Fizz!

The 11th Annual Windy City Lindy Exchange is coming and the WCLX Crew needs your help!

First, we'd like to see you there on Oct. 2-4th. Look at the wclx.org website to get even more details and information on the weekend that can cost you the recession busting price of 65$!

Next, we need help with housing our out-of-town guests and volunteers for the WCLX 11 events. Help our guests with a temporary home WCLX weekend! Swing Dancing at Fizz! is having its 3rd Annual School Supply Drive. Please drop off your donations to needy students in the Chicago Public Schools at our cash box every Monday till Labor Day (9/7). That day, our venue, Fizz Bar and Grill - 3220 N Lincoln Ave., is having its 6th Annual Labor Day BBQ. The bbq is held on Labor Day from 2pm to 8 pm. Everyone that donated either $10 cash or $10 worth of NEW school supplies can get the all you can bbq for free.

WCLX 11 is October 2-4 and we need people to host all of our lovely out of towners. >>>
