Try any or all of the Galaxie's upcoming Lindy Hop workshops designed to differentiate and improve your Lindy Hop at different tempos. Take your dancing to the next level and be able to create different movement for different types of songs. Join us for a night that is the epitome of elegance with one of the country's national treasures of stage and screen, Milt Trenier of the Treniers, a chart-topping band from the 1950s. Milt will provide the musical entertainment once again at the second annual Galaxie Valentine’s Night on Saturday, February 13.

Don your finest dancing apparel for a night of dancing, feasting on an exquisite array of handmade desserts and enjoying a stellar performance from one of Chicago's classiest ensemble of musicians. If you missed last year's overwhelmingly successful event, then you have never seen the Galaxie adorned in such cultivated beauty and grace as this night entails.

A blues dance lesson will be taught at 9pm and the band starts at 10pm. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased on the Galaxie web site at http://www.galaxiechicago.com or in house at the Galaxie. Tables of four or six may be purchased as well. To reserve a specific table, please make a note of the table number in the field marked “instructions from buyer.” No worries! All reservations will receive a table assignment.

Morry Sochat and The Special 20's are bringing a fresh sound to the Chicago Blues scene. They mix classic Chicago Blues with Swing from the 1950’s. They’re influenced by the best in blues history: Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Louis Jordan, Junior Wells, and all of the Chicago greats.

It's always sad to see the end of an era, especially one as long lasting as Wednesday's at the Green Dolphin Street, but as one page closes another opens. In a moment of incredible timing, Big City Swing was approached by a local bar owner to collaborate on a Wednesday night swing dance. So to fill the loss recently felt by Chicago's Swing community, we are excited and proud to announce "Swing Set" at Pasha!

EVERY Wednesday come join BCS and Chicago lindy hoppers for dancing and drinks at Pasha, a beautiful bar designed specifically to accommodate dancers. With a gorgeous wood floor, stage, Dj rig and drink specials, Swing Set at Pasha is the perfect addition to our Lindy Hop community!
